Decline In Property 'Sold' Boards

 

Estate and letting agency boards erector Agency Express, have stated how sales activity in the UK residential property market had its most significant month-on-month drop in September for six months.

The company recorded a fall of over 10% in the number of 'For Sale' signs converting to 'Sold', the sixth month this year with a month-on-month contraction in the number of houses sold. However, when compared with September 2009, monthly sales were up by 4.7% and 20% higher than September 2007.

There was a similar story for properties being put up ‘For Sale’ in September. There was a drop across the UK of 10.4%, with all regions witnessing a decline. However, again, this September’s level was significantly higher than the previous two Septembers, being 39.9% up on September 2009 and 15.8% up on September 2008.
